I put the knit in knittervention!

Since this is a knitting-among-other-things blog, I wanted to post a bit about my current project. I am working on a pattern called Whisper Rib and Lace socks. The pattern can be found in Luxury Yarn One Skein Wonders.
When I saw the picture I knew I wanted to knit them.
The yarn is Miss Babs Yummy sock yarn in “Peeps”. The website photo is much more accurate. This yarn is bright! It definitely brings marshmallow Peeps to mind.
I really like how this yarn knits up. The lace is graceful and the picot edging is so nicely defined.
I can’t wait to finish this pair and get them on my feet!
As a side note: We are due for between 1 and 2 feet of snow this weekend depending on how the storm track goes.

I say “bah-humbug” to the snow, except that it gives us a good excuse to stay inside and knit. But if I don’t get a day off on Monday then it’s useless.
